Dear traveler and a friend! I would like to welcome you and thank you for being here!

RoadTripCroatia is my little project and my new adventure into a blogging world. It is learning and discovering project of my home country and I would love to share it with you. What is it all about and why I have decided to start a blog? Well, first of all I have to say that am I am not an expert for writing for sure, but I might become one. Giving myself a try is a good way to discover that, is not not true? And secondly, most importantly, I love my beautiful country Croatia very much. Out of my love I started to travel around my country eager to discover places I have never been to. Very soon I have realized how many beautiful hidden places await to be discovered and how much more I have to learn about them. Feeling ashamed of not knowing enough, I hit the road and started my explorations.

Traveling is the best way to constantly learn and grow as an individual. It is a lifelong process that never stops (but it depends solely on us). How much we want out of our lives? What we want out of our lives? Each of us will know the perfect answer for himself. I love the saying “Life is like a book and those who do not travel read only one page”. This is so true and I am sure you will agree with me.

Well, to travel around my still not discovered country, I decided to do the road trips. And this has proved to the best way (in my opinion) to travel and explore destinations thoroughly. As I love to drive a car, I believe I put together my two passions: traveling and driving. Could say priceless privileges!

Croatia is an amazing country. It is a country of a tremendous potential with all its rich and beautiful resources – geographical position and natural wealth make Croatia a special destination. – a wonder(full) land!

Natural beauties, villages, cities, old castles, colorful fields and forgotten crafts are just a hint to Croatia along the road. This is the reason why I actually start my blog adventure, to show you what is there to be found and enjoyed! Hope you will find some interesting road trip destinations that will catch your eye and bring you to explore some of them on your own.

Hum – the smallest city in the world

I am sure most travelers visiting Croatia like to spend time at well known places along Croatia and the Adriatic coast such as Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Korčula, Šibenik, Rijeka, Zadar, Pula, Zagreb, Osijek etc. (especially during the summer time) to enjoy beautiful Adriatic Sea, sun and breathtaking beaches! Food as well! Well, and they should!! However, among those beautiful pearls of Croatia and its Adriatic coast there is something more in inland of Croatia. You don’t even have to go too far from those places to discover a real life among locals, their traditional customs, crafts and food. I would welcome you to definitely spend some time on your vacation and do road trip behind the city scenes. I am sure you will enjoy it equally or the same as your day at a beach. Get more out of your vacation, extend it by road trip along the Croatian road.

This is an excellent way to fall in love with Croatia. As I already did. Now, it is time for you to fall in love with Croatia as well and to keep coming back for more. Do the road trip and live Croatia the way it is.
